CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Andrea Cabibi is the former Animal Care Manager at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. She has worked in zoos in Europe, Canada and the USA for 35 years as Animal Care Manager, Veterinary Technician and Wildlife Manager. Andrea has experience with over 350 different species ranging from Aardwolves to Condors to Elephants. She also has extensive experience in nonprofit environments, education and public outreach.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Phillip Cabibi currently works for the clinical wildlife laboratory of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. He has 10 years experience as a former Social Services Counsellor working in nonprofit environments and programs. He has helped to improve his client’s life skills and quality of life. He specialized in community outreach and coordination of community events.

BEATRIX – Happiness Advocate Born 4-8-2021
Beatrix is a Miniature Horse. She is the daughter of Desiree and Bullet. She is a Silver Buckskin. Fully trained Therapy Horse. LOVES people!

MR CHIPS – Happiness Advocate Born 5-4-2021
Mr Chips is a Miniature Donkey. Fully trained Therapy Donkey. He LOVES people! His coloring is Spotted.
NEMO – Happiness Advocate Born 6-27-2021
Nemo is a Miniature Horse. He is the tiniest of our horses. Fully trained Therapy Horse His color is known as Medicine Hat, a color that is believed by the Native Americans to have a magical ability to protect their riders. He has two beautiful blue eyes.

DESIREE -Head of Magical Creatures Born 5-21-2005
Desiree is a Miniature Horse and the mother of Liberty and Beatrix. She is pure white with beautiful blue eyes. She is a very friendly horse and loves to make new people friends. Her color is known as Cremello. We have traced Desiree’s pedigree back to the original Shetland ponies that were used in the 1800’s to develop the miniature horses we see today.

MERLIN – Head of Carting Fun Born 4-8-2011
Merlin is a Miniature Horse. He is an AMHA World Reserve Carting Champion. He is wonderful fun in the cart and takes us out on trail adventures. He is also our field stallion. His color is Appaloosa. He is stunningly handsome.

TYSON – Associate Meadow Grazer Born 3-18-2021
Tyson is a Miniature Horse. He is the son of many Champions and Grand Champions. He will be a future sire for us when older. He is a calm horse who loves to be petted. His color is Pintaloosa. He is incredibly handsome and we look forward to his future babies.

RAVEN – Grassland Manager Born: 2017
Raven is a very sweet Miniature Horse who can be shy when she first meets people. She has a long and luxurious mane and forelock that need regular bushing to stop them from getting tangled. Her color is known as Appaloosa.
CODY – Chief Troublemaker Born 3-20-2019
Cody is a Miniature Horse with an extremely mischievous nature. He is always getting into trouble by running off with gloves, brushes, tools and anything he can get into his mouth. His best friend is Groot the dog. His color is known as Grey and he will get much lighter as he gets older.

HAYLEY – Head of Meadow Design Born 3-5-2012
Hayley is a Miniature Horse. She is a calm horse who loves to be groomed and is very patient with other horses and new people. Her color is known as Few Spot Appaloosa. She is pure white with just a few spots showing.

ELLIE – Homestead Grazer Born: 6-19-2010
Ellie is a Miniature Horse. She loves her food and is always asking visitors for treats. She prefers to be petted only after she has been given a treat. Her color is known as Sorrel Appaloosa.

BULLET-Director of First Impressions Born 5-4-2000
Bullet is a Miniature Horse and one of the first horses you meet when visiting our ranch. Bullet is an AMHA World Reserve Carting Champion and is mentioned in the book “Outstanding Miniature Horse Stallions Past & Present”. His color is Silver Dapple. He has sired many beautiful foals for us.

REDFORD – Good Vibe Manager Born: 1998
Redford is a Quarter Horse and the tallest one out in the field. He was adopted from Falcon Ridge Rescue. He is the most loving and affectionate horse in our herd. He takes on mentoring of the baby miniature horses and teaches them how to be the best horse they could hope to be.
JOEY – Communications Genius Born: 1989
Joey is a Congo African Grey Parrot. He has a lot to say and can be most often heard calling out “Cheerio” to visitors as they arrive and leave. He is incredibly smart and will ask if we are okay whenever we bump ourselves or drop something. He laughs often and can be hear coughing loudly too. Any weird and wonderful noises heard on the ranch are usually coming from Joey.
BOK BOK CHOY – Leaf Rustler Born: 2-18-2021
Bok Bok Choy is a Silkie Chicken. She is being trained to become a Therapy Chicken and will soon be able to go out on visits along with the miniature horses. Her color is known as Paint.
AMELIA EGGHART- Grain Spreader Born: 3-18-2021
Amelia Egghart is a Silkie Chicken who lives with Bok Bok Choy. She is also being trained to become a Therapy Chicken and will soon be able to go out on visits along with the miniature horses. Her color is known as Blue.
FINNEGAN – Fright Engineer Born:2007
Finnegan is an East African Crowned Crane. He likes to spread his wings and startle the miniature horses, and people, that pass by his enclosure. His favorite treat is mealworms.
TWIGGY – Pest Coordinator Born:9-6-2018
Twiggy is an East African Crowned Crane. She is married to Ichabod and they are always together searching for bugs, lizards and mice. Her favorite treats are mealworms. She is a very friendly bird who loves to go for walks around the field with us.
ICHABOD – Bug Patrol Manager Born: 2012
Ichabod is an East African Crowned Crane. He is married to Twiggy. His favorite person is our neighbor, Meg, who visits him for a chat every day and feeds him his favorite mealworms. His loud calls can be heard for up to three miles away.
WOODSTOCK- Director of Awesomeness Born: 5-1-2019
Woodstock is a Blue (Stanley) Crane who stands four feet tall and has a six foot wingspan. He is not very friendly with people he doesn’t know. He prefers to just stand back and look awesome when people come to visit.
BUGSBY – Ambassador of Buzz Born: 3-1-2019
Bugsby is a Demoiselle Crane. He is married to Alanis. He often makes a purring noise when he’s happy. He is very friendly with us but shy with people he doesn’t know.
ALANIS – Flight Coordinator Born: 2017
Alanis is a Demoiselle Crane. She is married to Bugsby. She is very shy and prefers to hide when people come to visit. She is a quiet bird that can sometimes be heard cooing softly to herself.
GOLIATH- Demolition Foreman Born: A long time ago
Goliath is a huge Sulcata Tortoise. He is the largest of our tortoise herd. His shell is 27″ long and he weighs at least 175 lbs. We don’t know when Goliath was born, but he is certainly more than 50 years old. His favorite treats are lettuce heads.
DAISY – Head of Excavation Born: A long time ago
Daisy is a large Sulcata Tortoise. Her shell is 24″ long and she weights about 120 lbs. We don’t know when Daisy was born but she is probably more than 50 years old. She is shy with people and tends to stay quietly tucked into a corner of the enclosure or asleep in the tortoise shed.
BOULDER – Trench Engineer Born: 2011
Boulder is a Sulcata Tortoise. His shell is 19″ long and he weighs about 50 lbs. Before we adopted Boulder he had been injured by a dog chewing on his shell. His shell is an irregular shape due to this incident. He loves special treats of strawberries and apples.
DELILAH – Landscape Manager Born: 1997
Delilah is a Sulcata Tortoise. Her shell is 20″ long and she weighs about 65 lbs. She is a gentle tortoise who will follow us around in the hope of getting some extra treats. Her favorite treats are apples and pears.
SARGE – Head of Security Born: 5-21-2014
Sarge is a Turkish Akbash. He was adopted from a rescue organization in Sacramento. His previous owner was not able to keep him anymore. Sarge is a livestock guardian dog, which his breed have been doing for 3,000 years. He takes his guarding duties very seriously and will not socialize with strangers. He alerts us to anything unusual and makes sure everybody on the ranch is safe and secure.
GROOT – Director of Loss Prevention Born: 2-8-2017
Groot is a Caucasian Ovcharka (Sheepdog). He was adopted from the Humane Society. His previous owner was not able to keep him anymore. His breed has been used in Russia to guard livestock and property for centuries. He is a huge dog and keeps careful watch over all our animals. His best friend is Cody, the miniature horse. He can often be seen playing with Cody out in the field.
